Innosolution
Simple single page site built for low costs and performance
Open Innovation
Innosolutions assist startups, specifically startups in tech, with a range of services. From investment advice to portfolio management and much more. Just getting started themselves, they needed a small website which could be used to inform their potential clients of what they could offer. However, as they were in their infancy they didn't want a large and expensive website but a small simple one that could be built upon in future. But as per my expertise, cost effective doesn't mean at the cost of quality.
Design
To start with, I gathered what content they wanted on the site and used gamma to design the website. Gamma is "A new medium for presenting ideas, powered by AI. Create beautiful, engaging content with none of the formatting and design work." This could be used to create presentations as well as designs for website. See snippet of design below:
Once passed back to the client, they were more than happy with the design and most of the dummy content that had been generated via ChatGPT (though most of it was rewritten by the client). The final changes was to the design after being given logo, which involved changing the colors and uploading the logo to the navbar and footer. There was also some changes to make it responsive so it worked on both mobile and desktop.
Development
Since the site was only to be a single page site with the possibility of a blog or other content to be added in future, I decided to use Gatsby. "Gatsby is a React-based open source framework with performance, scalability and security built-in." As a static site generator, it is super fast with many plugins like Gatsby Image, Sitemap and the ability to easily connect it to a CMS in future which made it an ideal choice for Innosolutions website.
After writing the code for the site's content, the last part that needed looking into was the contact form. This was to be Innosolutions main way for potential clients to get in touch. Deploying onto Netlify meant I could utilise Netlify's forms which allowed for up to 100 submissions a month. It also had a notifications system so that as soon as the form was submitted, the client would receive an email with the form's captured details. This meant there was no need for a 3rd party integration for notifications or a CMS to capture the data.
Deployment
The final step was deploying to the site and making it live. First I sorted out the domain which was part of the service I offered, then pointed the domain to the deployed site. I had also uploaded a sitemap which could be passed to the Google search console so it would appear amongst the search results. 24 hours after uploading it to the search console, it was among the top results
Update
As of April 2024, Innosolutions is now the top result on search.
Future work
As mentioned, connecting the site to a CMS was discussed to be done in future. This would allow Innosolutions to add blog posts or client success stories, allowing the site to be utilised for marketing by sharing these posts on social media. This would also improve it's SEO score due to the constant influx of content.
